The product thesis
Most tools track a diagnosis, a mood, or a streak. MARGIN is for the mixed moment—when the reason, the feeling, and the substance-use pressure cannot be pulled apart.
Start with what feels loud, not a label or a forced intake.
No hidden risk score, passive surveillance, or machine pretending to be a therapist.
A quiet relay helps you ask a real person for one specific kind of support.
A future layer, intentionally absent today
A later release could let a person rehearse an evening, payday, anniversary, or post-therapy window in advance. It would remain opt-in, on-device, and user-authored—never a prediction that watches someone in the background.
A functional product prototype for adults in the U.S. It demonstrates a trauma-informed, harm-reduction-oriented interaction model. It has not been clinically evaluated and must not claim to prevent crisis, return to use, overdose, or other health outcomes.
Paid lived-experience governance; addiction-medicine, mental-health, crisis, privacy, legal, and accessibility review; simulated-scenario testing; resource re-verification; and a supported feasibility pilot before health-effect claims.
